First off, The Periodic Table is a list of all the chemical elements that occur in the ENTIRE universe! It catigorizes elements according
to the proporties of their atoms. As you know, and atom is the smallest part of an atom

well for starters, you can read across the table, and look at the top. all of the numbers are in order. one way they are organized is by their atomic number.
^^^^^^^^^ as you see aove, this is the element HYdrogen. it is the first element on the Periodic Table, adn its atomic number is 1. next is Helium, which has anatomic number of 2 and so on.
When you read the Table left to right, you are reading it in periods, if you are reading it up an down, youre reading it in groups.
there are 118 elements knowqn to man, but only the first 92 are natural. the others must be made or found in a lab.
